Interconnection Of The Disconnected

Does every country possess a special psychology theory in relation to its attributes?

A Swiss friend of mine just told me that Swiss people pass their lives believing in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Would it be accurate to say that, people live under the unconscious or conscious influence of a psychological theory suited to their country's (country=citizens+daily life+culture+history...) common characteristics? It's intriguing that psychology theories and countries' peculiarities can be matched.
