..a good match of movies.
'Fight Club' for the third time (the first two was at the theater when it was released in 1999)

and

'Die Welle' (The Wave, 2008) a German drama.
I'd recommend these two movies to be seen together as they contain similar elements as autocracy, vandalism, fascism, 'Fuhrer' concept (although Fight Club is not about these, it's actually against these). They're both about how harmless things begin and they spark off at some point. But these two movies are nowhere near each other and shouldn't be compared.
I can't believe I haven't watched Fight Club since I saw it at the theatre. I was 17 years old back then and apparently I missed lots of things in the movie. Like, back then in Turkey we didn't have IKEA, Starbucks or Krispy Kreme, so I didn't know what these brands stand for. I think I was paying more attention to Brad Pitt and his super cool costumes. But now I realize more about it, for instance, with its editing and storytelling it's a magnificent movie.
PS: It's funny how the sex scene caused lots of speculations back in the day. It just looks insignificant throughout the movie.
