Cherry Cream Crumb Cake

I made this cake from a recipe I found on FoodBabbles


I used preserved cherries instead of fresh cherries that I'd done a couple of days ago.
I also added some fresh peaches to it. They were the perfect match!

The cake tin should definitely be covered in grease paper, although the recipe states otherwise. I was lazy to do it, that's why I think the crust is too dark.

I would definitely skip putting in that dollop of cream cheese mixture as it makes the cake too sweet. Instead I'd put a proper cream cheese frosting on it, maybe whipped cream or just vanilla ice cream with it.
